Coach Demetrius Miller– Assistant Coach

Coach Miller is a native of Selma, Alabama and a graduate of Selma High School where he participated in a variety of sports. After passing on the opportunity to play basketball and
baseball at the collegiate level, Coach Miller chose to attend Alabama A&M University on an academic scholarship and obtained both a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics. Coach Miller has over 10 years of coaching and teaching experience between both the middle and
high school ranks. He brings prior coaching experience from Roy L. Stone Middle School and Meridianville Middle School in football, basketball, and baseball. The 2017-2018 season is Coach Miller’s sixth season as the head coach of the Junior Varsity Girls’ Basketball Team and as a Hazel Green Lady Trojan Assistant. In addition to coaching, Miller also teaches mathematics at Hazel Green High School. He is married to Beth, who is a teacher with the Madison County School System.
